Meet-A-Paca

Do you know the differences between alpacas and llamas?

Join us for a fun and educational 45 minute alpaca activity, suitable for all the family to enjoy.

Get up close and personal with the alpacas and learn all about our woolly friends with a knowledgeable talk from our resident alpaca expert!

With plenty of opportunities to hand-feed and grab an alpaca selfie, our Meet-A-Paca is the ideal experience for those too young to walk the alpacas or unable to walk long distances.

Important Information

  • All children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult (18+).
  • Please familiarise yourself with the route to us prior to travelling, if you need specific directions please email us 24 hours before your visit.
  • We are a small farm and sometimes things can get muddy. Bring some boots or shoes that don't mind mud.
  • We recommend you wear long trousers on your visit, even on sunny days.

Bookings must be made and paid for in advance of visit.

Any cancellations up to 7 days prior to visit will be eligible for either a gift voucher to the sum of the activity, a 50% refund of the activity cost or re-book to a new date (subject to availability).

Cancellations within 7 days of visit will not be eligible for any refund/gift voucher or re-book. Private bookings are non-refundable.

Should Beirhope cancel your visit you will be offered a full refund or a gift voucher to the cost of your visit to come another time.

All Children (u18) must be accompanied by a participating adult. We do not have facilities for spectators.

Late arrivals cannot be accommodated and will not be eligible for a refund. We are rurally located, please familiarise yourself with the route and allow additional travel time to get to us. Please contact us before visit day if you require directions. Beirhope is available with detailed instructions on Google Maps.

Please arrive no sooner than 15 minutes before your scheduled visit.

Please observe the age restrictions of each activity. We may not be able to facilitate younger guests and your visit may be refused. Please contact us in advance to discuss your specific request and we will look to make appropriate arrangements for your visit.

Gift Vouchers are valid for one year from date of issue.

On visit day, wear appropriate clothing. On sunny days we recommend long trousers and closed outdoor shoes or boots. Don’t forget sunscreen and hats too. In winter on cold days outdoors boots are essential and waterproof/warm clothing, hats and gloves too.

Important information
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking time.

We recommend wearing sturdy footwear or wellies and on colder days, appropriate cosy clothing. On sunny days we recommend wearing long trousers. Don’t forget sunscreen, hats and water too.


Important: From Monday 20th May - Friday 31st May the A68 is closed between Byrness to Carter bar, from 9am -3pm daily. The detour is over 100 miles. Our recommendation is for anyone travelling from the south who would usually use the A696 or A68 to use the A1 and A697 (via wooler instead).
